The Shed Cyril is a project of Fry&Fry for Liqui. This piece of retro walnut wood furniture is designed with a humble garden shed in mind. We especially like the organic design of the doors and its brass lock. It’s actually the very first piece of furniture in the Shed collection. Fun, unusual and quite convenient, the Shed Cyril has ultra-cool doors as well. So not only is it eye-catching and practical, but it has a quite innovative opening mechanism. In other words, its doors open up much like angel wings. What’s more, there’s a great contrast between the dark body and white doors, making it great for the modern living/dining room.

Long Sideboards by sdr plus – Unique Designs

These long sideboards are part of Container Program 980/981, designed by Dieter Rams and Thomas Merkel for sdr plus. Besides a modular sideboard system with cover panels this furniture collection includes stand containers with several different compartments. These sideboards are actually composed out of containers, put together individually. Unique design element of these containers is actually the superior doors, front & back panels made from Alucobond, a laminate, that’s coated on either side with aluminum. What’s more, the containers are worked to miter therefore that a cover panel is no longer required. So the sideboard is lent further potential functions and so can be combined surprisingly well with other home furniture.
